Amaravati, Sep 24 (NationPress) The Opposition YSR Congress Party has unveiled a digital book aimed at empowering its members to report instances of harassment and false accusations allegedly orchestrated by the TDP-led coalition government in Andhra Pradesh.
During the launch event at the party office, YSRCP President and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy assured party members that their complaints will be addressed once YSRCP returns to power.
He emphasized that those responsible for the injustices will be held accountable, regardless of their position.
This digital book operates as both a portal and an IVRS, allowing complaints to be submitted via digitalbook.weysrcp.com or through the IVRS at 040-49171718. Reddy noted that “While today it may be referred to as a red book, in the future, it will evolve into a digital platform.”
The term 'red book' references a document carried by TDP leader and current minister Nara Lokesh during the previous electoral campaign, wherein he listed officials who allegedly targeted TDP leaders during YSRCP’s governance, warning of repercussions once the TDP-led coalition regains power.
YSRCP leaders have accused the coalition of enforcing a 'Red book constitution', which they claim involves filing false cases and harassing their members.
Jagan Mohan Reddy previously announced that any individual facing harassment from officials could use the app to file complaints and upload supporting evidence.
In a recent party meeting, he reiterated that the coalition government has fostered an unprecedented level of anti-incumbency in a short time, with rampant corruption and nepotism leading to widespread dissatisfaction among the populace.
He asserted that the coalition is failing on multiple fronts and resorting to vindictive politics, promising that the digital book will meticulously document instances of harassment and ensure justice is served in due time.
Addressing significant issues at the meeting—which was attended by MLAs, MLCs, constituency coordinators, district presidents, and regional coordinators—he noted that every sector, including healthcare, education, agriculture, and law enforcement, has deteriorated under the current government, leading to public frustration within just 15 months.
The unfulfilled promises of the Super Six prior to the elections, along with the disappointing celebrations surrounding their success, have left many feeling deceived, according to Jagan.
Three significant promises—unemployment stipends, Stri Nidhi, and pensions for women under 50—have failed to materialize, causing discontent among various demographics.
He highlighted manipulation within all systems, with the government allegedly colluding with middlemen, exacerbating the distress of farmers during the urea shortage, leading to inflated prices. Jagan remarked that such issues did not arise during YSRCP's tenure.
He also pointed out that Chandrababu has suggested that rice should be repurposed for ethanol production, revealing his intentions. Furthermore, he noted that, unlike during YSRCP’s governance, other crops are not receiving Minimum Support Price (MSP) benefits.
