A statement from Kuwait's Ministry of Foreign Affairs revealed that the ministers deliberated on the ongoing regional events and collaborative efforts.
"His Excellency Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a call today, Monday, April 13, 2026, from His Excellency Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of the friendly Republic of India, during which they discussed the latest developments and initiatives regarding regional affairs," Kuwait's Ministry of Foreign Affairs posted on X.
The dialogue between EAM Jaishankar and Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah occurred amidst heightened security tensions in the region following unsuccessful negotiations between US and Iranian officials.
Earlier, EAM Jaishankar completed a two-day official visit to the UAE from April 11-12. On Sunday, he met with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi and conveyed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's greetings.
During this meeting, EAM Jaishankar expressed his appreciation to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for prioritizing the welfare of the Indian community in the UAE during the West Asia crisis.
Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, also attended the meeting.
"It was a privilege to meet with President of UAE HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi today. I conveyed warm regards from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and expressed gratitude for his commitment to the welfare of the Indian community during the West Asia conflict. I also thanked him for his insights on enhancing the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership," EAM Jaishankar shared on X.
In another update, he mentioned: "It was good to see HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum during this meeting. I expressed our Government's appreciation for his efforts in safeguarding the Indian community in Dubai."
On Saturday, he engaged in discussions with UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan regarding the evolving situation in West Asia and its broader implications.
"It was a real pleasure to meet with DPM and FM of UAE, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in Abu Dhabi this evening. Our discussion centered on the evolving regional situation and its implications. I conveyed our sincere appreciation for ensuring the well-being of the Indian community in the UAE. I am confident that our Comprehensive Strategic Partnership will continue to strengthen," he posted on X.
EAM Jaishankar also interacted with members of the Indian community on Saturday, where he emphasized the Indian government's continuous efforts to ensure the security and welfare of its citizens amidst the ongoing West Asia conflict.
