Jammu, Nov 26 (NationPress) The Lt Governor of J&K, Manoj Sinha, remarked on Wednesday that for the past 76 years, the Constitution of India has served as a beacon of fairness, freedom, and social justice, illuminating the path for the citizens of this remarkable nation.
The L-G urged policymakers and officials to honor the principles of the Constitution and dedicate themselves to safeguarding the rights of every citizen.
“Our Constitution is revered, having laid the foundation for India’s advancement. It is paramount to maintain national unity and integrity. We must foster a sense of self-confidence and self-respect within society, utilizing all available means and resources to empower and make India self-sufficient,” he emphasized.
He stated that after a prolonged period of 67 years, the Constitution's provisions were fully implemented in J&K in 2019, thereby concluding a history of discrimination and injustice.
According to him, J&K is now progressing under the principles of equity and social and economic justice as established in the Constitution by Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
He further asserted that his mission in J&K is to enhance the lives of the citizens, abolish discrimination and injustice, dismantle the terror ecosystem, and ensure that the benefits of central schemes reach the most vulnerable segments of society.
“To those questioning what has been accomplished over the past 5 years, I want to clarify that the era of rewarding separatists while punishing patriots has been entirely eradicated,” he asserted.
