The J&K Police, along with security forces, is intensifying anti-terrorist operations against terrorists and their overground workers (OGWs) and supporters. The updated strategy focuses on dismantling the entire support network for terrorism rather than solely targeting armed terrorists.
Additionally, drug smugglers, drug peddlers, and individuals involved in hawala money schemes and other illicit financial operations are also under scrutiny by security forces.
It is believed that the funds generated from these illegal activities are ultimately used to finance terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
Anti-terrorist operations are being executed in the hinterland by the J&K Police and security forces.
The Army and the Border Security Force (BSF) are stationed on the Line of Control (LoC) and the international border to prevent infiltration, exfiltration, drug trafficking, and drone operations originating from across the border.
Recently, on November 13, the Counter-Intelligence wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted searches at multiple locations in Kashmir in connection with a “white-collar terror module” and the terror explosion near the Red Fort in Delhi.
