Mumbai, July 13 (NationPress) Actor Jitin Gulati, known for his role as Sarfaraz in Kajol's 'Maa', opened up about his challenging journey in the film industry.
In an exclusive interview with IANS, Gulati discussed the difficulties he faced, stating that every phase of his career presented its own unique hurdles.
He expressed, "The entire journey has been filled with challenges. Pursuing a dream, especially one that defies societal norms, is never easy."
While acknowledging his family's support, he emphasized that the path was far from smooth. "For many of us actors from middle-class backgrounds, the idea of becoming an actor is often met with skepticism. Although my family has been emotionally supportive, practical support has been scarce. I consider myself fortunate, yet the road remains tough," Gulati shared.
He elaborated, "Living in Mumbai and facing the uncertainties of this profession has posed new challenges at every turn. From limited opportunities to the trials of pursuing them, it's been a tumultuous journey."
Reflecting on his experiences, he described his path as "slow and steady".
"If I had to encapsulate my journey in one line, I'd say it's been a gradual ascent—consistent and upward. Though the pace hasn't been the quickest, I've managed to keep progressing, and that alone is fulfilling," Gulati noted.
He took a moment to express gratitude towards his audience, acknowledging their role as a significant source of encouragement.
"Your feedback, messages, and reviews have been invaluable to me. Whether it was for 'Mumbai Meri Jaan', or my digital projects like 'Kala', 'Tukwan', or 'Maa', your support has been incredibly motivating. It truly matters to me," Gulati concluded.
