Key Takeaways
Hyderabad, March 19 (NationPress) K. Kavitha, president of Telangana Jagruthi, announced on Thursday that plans are actively being formulated to establish the agenda for her upcoming political party.
She emphasized that she is awaiting a favorable ‘mahuratam’ (auspicious moment) to officially launch the political entity.
During a casual interaction with the press, she stated that her struggle will be directed against the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), which is led by her father, former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), as well as the BJP and Congress. “My battle will be against Daddy, Modi, and Chinna Modi,” she quipped.
Having left the BRS last year following her suspension from the party due to alleged anti-party actions, Kavitha revealed that the party's agenda and objectives will be disclosed at the time of its launch.
She is confident that her party will resonate across all districts, aiming to create more opportunities for youth, women, and participants of the Telangana movement.
With a mission of ‘Samajika Telangana’, they aspire to achieve ‘Sarvodaya Telangana’, noting that they are meticulously exploring Mahatma Gandhi's Sarvodaya philosophy.
Kavitha asserted that her party intends to introduce a new style of politics, advocating for coalition and ‘rainbow’ politics.
She mentioned that she is considering meetings with national leaders prior to the party's announcement.
Kavitha is also in search of a suitable venue to establish the party headquarters.
The name ‘Telangana Praja Jagruthi’ is expected to be chosen for her proposed party, which will feature the symbol of “Dharmaghanta” (Bell of Justice).
She has submitted her application to the Election Commission of India concerning this matter.
On the same day, the Delhi High Court instructed the Election Commission to expedite the registration process of the new party and the allocation of a new symbol, following Kavitha’s request.
In addition, after attending Ugadi celebrations with her husband and Telangana Jagruthi leaders, she unveiled the ‘Telangana People’s Budget’.
One day prior to the State Budget presentation in the Assembly, she proposed a ‘People’s Budget’ amounting to Rs 2.15 lakh crores.
This budget was shaped by public suggestions and includes allocations for welfare and development initiatives.
Kavitha announced that her party intends to present the ‘People’s Budget’ annually during Ugadi.
