Mumbai, Sep 25 (NationPress) Bollywood actress and politician Kangana Ranaut honored the late singer and music composer Zubeen Garg on Thursday by sharing a poster from her debut film “Gangster”, stating that there is truly no one like him.

Kangana took to her Instagram stories to post a vintage photo of Zubeen Garg, captioning it: “#Zubeenda.”

She then shared the poster of the 2006 thriller Gangster, which was her introduction to Bollywood, accompanied by the song Ya Ali, performed by the late Assamese legend Zubeen Garg, as a heartfelt tribute.

“#zubeenda No one like you!,” she wrote in her post.

On September 19, singer Zubeen Garg tragically passed away following a scuba diving incident in Singapore. After being rescued from the sea by local authorities, he was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was admitted to the ICU. Despite receiving critical care, medical professionals could not save him.

Zubeen had traveled to Singapore for the fourth North East India festival at Suntec, set for September 20 and 21. Just hours before the unfortunate event, he had shared a warm message inviting fans to join him on social media.

A celebrated singer in the North East of India, Zubeen Garg was known as the voice of Assam. His breakout in Bollywood came with the classic hit 'Ya Ali' from the film 'Gangster', released in 2006, which established him as a prominent figure across India.

For those unfamiliar, Zubeen's younger sister, Jongki Borthakur, who was both an actress and singer, tragically lost her life in a car accident in February 2002 in Assam's Sonitpur district, while en route to a stage performance.

In her memory, Zubeen released the poignant album Xixhu later that same year. He was married to fashion designer and costume director Garima Saika Garg.
