Patil highlighted that several British firms have successfully set up operations in the state, significantly contributing to its economic landscape.
Additionally, he noted discussions with various academic institutions, including Imperial College London and the University of Liverpool.
He expressed optimism regarding the involvement of British companies and universities in the forthcoming Knowledge, Wellbeing and Innovation (KWIN) City project near Dabaspet, which aims to create opportunities for the youth.
Minister for Higher Education, M.C. Sudhakar, stated that Karnataka is actively fostering collaboration with the UK in higher education through twinning programs that facilitate academic exchanges and student collaboration.
He mentioned that this year, 30 students are benefitting from this program, mirroring last year's participation, allowing them to pursue studies abroad.
Sudhakar also emphasized the state government's commitment to skill development and the establishment of international academic partnerships to enhance global opportunities for students from Karnataka.
