Mumbai, Dec 13 (NationPress) In an upcoming episode of the singing reality show Indian Idol, the iconic singer Kavita Krishnamurthy and the talented Shreya Ghoshal left everyone astounded as they spontaneously performed the legendary track “Dola Re Dola” from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas.
Kavita praised Shreya, stating, “In this era, I had the immense honor and privilege of performing alongside this young and daring Shreya Ghoshal.
Shreya reminisced about her initial experience singing with Kavita, admitting she was frightened at first, as Kavita served as a nurturing, motherly figure.
She highlighted how the track “Dola Re Dola” was produced with a massive ensemble of over 100 musicians, calling it one of the most demanding yet rewarding moments of her career.
Devdas, a romantic drama directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, features Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, and Madhuri Dixit in lead roles, along with Jackie Shroff, Kirron Kher, Smita Jaykar, and Vijayendra Ghatge in supporting roles.
Based on the 1917 Bengali novel by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay, the film tells the tale of Devdas Mukherjee, a wealthy law graduate who returns from London to propose to his childhood sweetheart, Parvati "Paro".
