Veteran actor Anupam Kher has announced the completion of shooting for director Sooraj Barjatya's upcoming film 'Yeh Prem Mol Liya', sharing an emotional tribute to their decades-long creative partnership. The film, which also stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari, is slated for a theatrical release on 27 November 2026.

A Bond That Began With 'Saaransh'

Kher revealed that his association with Barjatya stretches back to the very beginning of his own career — the 1984 film 'Saaransh', when Barjatya was working as an assistant director on set. Since then, the two have collaborated on more than eight films together, spanning some of Hindi cinema's most beloved family dramas.

In an Instagram post shared from the set at Banganga, Walkeshwar, Kher wrote: 'I've known Sooraj from the time he was an assistant on my very first film, Saaransh. Since then, we have shared the journey of more than eight films together. Watching him evolve into one of the greatest storytellers of our times has been a privilege.'

The 71-year-old actor spoke at length about what sets Barjatya apart in a rapidly changing film industry.
