Dewas (Madhya Pradesh), March 27 (NationPress) The transformation of KP College in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, into a Prime Minister's College of Excellence has resulted in a remarkable enhancement of academic standards, course diversification, and faculty reinforcement, as reported by both students and the college administration.
Students at the college have noted that numerous positive developments have occurred since the institution attained the PM's College of Excellence designation. They highlighted the introduction of new academic programs and a significant enhancement in the overall quality of education.
The growth in faculty numbers has also been instrumental in improving classroom instruction and academic delivery, they remarked.
Dr. SPS Rana, the Principal of KP College, stated that the institution has experienced swift progress since the upgrade, emphasizing the expansion of both its infrastructure and academic offerings.
“The most significant change is the reintroduction of the science faculty. Previously, science courses were relocated, leading to the formation of a separate college; however, we have now reinstated the B.Sc. program here,” Rana informed IANS.
He also mentioned that the college aims to launch additional professional and integrated courses in the near future.
“We have applied to initiate BA LL.B., and in the forthcoming period, we will also introduce B.Sc. B.Ed. and B.A. B.Ed. programs,” he added, noting that the increase in faculty members is propelling the college towards academic excellence.
Students have also emphasized the introduction of value-added courses, which they believe are significantly enhancing their skills and employability.
Subhana Qureshi, a final-year BA student at KP College, expressed that the overall atmosphere of the college has improved.
“There have been numerous improvements within the college. The introduction of value-added courses has greatly benefited students. Additionally, faculty strength has seen a notable increase,” she stated.
