Patna, March 9 (NationPress) As he prepares for a potential transition to the Rajya Sabha, Nitish Kumar has been diligently assessing development initiatives throughout Bihar.
On Monday, the Chief Minister made a stop in Malsalami within Patna to evaluate the ongoing construction of the approach road.
During this visit, he examined the advancement of the project and inquired with officials regarding the expected completion date.
Accompanying him were senior officials and Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary during this crucial inspection.
Nitish Kumar instructed the officials to ensure the project is finalized within the designated timeframe.
Having submitted his nomination for the Rajya Sabha on March 5, he has since been consistently reviewing various infrastructure and development initiatives throughout the state.
On March 7, the Chief Minister inspected the Railway Overbridge (ROB) currently under construction near Bakhtiyarpur Engineering College.
He urged officials to accelerate the work, emphasizing that the completion of this project will link to the older Patna–Bakhtiyarpur highway (SH-106) and the four-lane Patna–Bakhtiyarpur highway (NH-30).
This enhanced connectivity will greatly decrease travel times and facilitate easier commuting for local residents.
Additionally, it will grant direct access for students and faculty to Pataliputra University and Bakhtiyarpur Engineering College.
While visiting, the Chief Minister also assessed the construction of a new building for Ganesh Higher Secondary School in Bakhtiyarpur, instructing officials to expedite the completion to benefit students.
Furthermore, he inspected the park being built near the statue of freedom fighter late Dumra Singh, urging authorities to hasten the project.
Nitish Kumar also evaluated the progress of the under-construction Bakhtiyarpur (Karjan)–Tajpur (Samastipur) bridge across the Ganga River.
He highlighted that this bridge will significantly enhance connectivity between North and South Bihar, directing officials to complete the project as soon as possible.
On March 8, the Chief Minister inaugurated a ₹542-crore tunnel project linking the Bihar Museum and the Patna Museum.
Once finalized, this tunnel will enable visitors to travel effortlessly between the two museums, simplifying the exploration of Bihar’s rich history, culture, and heritage.
Additionally, during his visit, Nitish Kumar reviewed the redevelopment of government housing and the construction of a park near the Bihar Museum, instructing officials to accelerate the work so that these development projects can be swiftly completed, thereby contributing to the state's advancement.
