Patna, Feb 20 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, arrived in Nalanda district on Thursday as part of his Pragati Yatra to assess the ongoing development initiatives.

During this visit, CM Nitish is poised to inaugurate or lay the groundwork for over 300 development projects valued in the crores.

He will be inaugurating an Extremely Backward Class Residential Girls' School in Sabait Panchayat.

Additionally, CM Nitish will evaluate the renovated pond, a social upliftment park, a playground, and a community structure in Nanand village.

He will distribute cheques to the Jeevika sisters and various self-help groups, and engage with them to understand their challenges and suggestions.

Furthermore, the CM will review the infrastructure, playgrounds, and community buildings in Mahadalit Basti, Nanand.

Robust security measures have been arranged by the district administration for the Chief Minister's visit.

This visit is anticipated to significantly enhance education, healthcare, infrastructure, and tourism in Nalanda district.

On Wednesday, as a segment of his Pragati Yatra, CM Nitish visited Rohtas district, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation for 1,220 development projects worth Rs 1,378 crore.

He inaugurated the Panchayat Government Building in Malhipur village of Chenari block and evaluated the newly constructed community animal shed in the same area.

He also laid the foundation stone for the Durgavati Eco-Tourism Adventure Hub in Karamchat under the Forest Division Department and assessed the leaf plate manufacturing and Mahua-based sweets production by Adivasi Janjati Vikas Samiti.

CM Nitish integrated the Farming and Utkarsh Biofuel Plant in Ghusiyakhurd, Bikramganj block and reviewed the construction site for the proposed bridge in Bajitpur village, Sanjhauli block.

He also distributed cheques to beneficiaries under various welfare schemes aimed at assisting the underprivileged.
