Patna, Dec 12 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, made a trip to Nawada district on Friday to assess several ongoing initiatives.
His first stop was at the Upgraded Higher Secondary (+2) School campus located in Chiraila village within the Hardiya Panchayat of the Rajauli block, where he evaluated the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Boys’ Hostel.
During his visit, he engaged with the hostel students to discuss their studies and the facilities available to them.
He also interacted with girls participating in karate training at the school, urging them to focus on their education.
“You represent the future of India,” he remarked to the students. “The government is committed to meeting your requirements. Congratulations and best wishes to each of you. Study hard and strive for success.”
The students responded with applause and a warm welcome for their Chief Minister.
Nitish Kumar evaluated various stalls established by the Social Welfare Department, Education Department, Jeevika Didis, and students at the school.

Beneficiaries also expressed their gratitude for the increase in pensions for the elderly, disabled, and widows from Rs 400 to Rs 1,100 monthly, the provision of 125 units of free electricity to all domestic consumers, the supply of pure Ganga water to households, and the substantial rise in the honorarium for Anganwadi workers, assistants, and ASHA workers.
The Chief Minister later toured the Health Sub-Centre-cum-Health and Wellness Centre in Hardiya, where he assessed medical facilities, availability of medicines, and doctor placements.
He also checked out a stall organized by the Health Department. Officials informed him about the availability of telemedicine services.
As part of the Maternity Protection Campaign, pregnant women are educated on health tips and advised on maintaining a balanced diet.
Beneficiaries expressed their thanks to the Chief Minister for doubling the honorarium of physical education and health instructors from Rs 8,000 to Rs 16,000.
Kumar then reviewed the advancement of a 10-megawatt floating solar plant being constructed at the Phulwaria Reservoir in Rajauli, under the “Upar Bijli, Neeche Machhli” initiative. Officials informed him that the reservoir covers 30 acres.
