Patna, Feb 1 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, is scheduled to visit Bhagalpur today as part of his Pragati Yatra to assess development initiatives and either inaugurate or lay the foundation stones for several projects.
Comprehensive arrangements have been made to guarantee a seamless and secure visit.
After a one-day break, he will continue his 'Pragati Yatra' with a trip to Bhagalpur.
During his time in Bhagalpur, the Chief Minister will evaluate paved roads, electricity, water taps, animal sheds, goat shelters, and Indira Awas housing.
Additionally, he will inaugurate or lay the groundwork for various projects worth crores of rupees.
Kumar will also examine Jivika stalls and visit significant facilities such as the health and wellness centre, school, Anganwadi centre, pond, river, playground, and the Panchayat Government Building.
Local officials and JD(U) workers are camping in the area to ensure smooth operations, with administrative and security measures actively in place. Barricades have been set up around vital locations.
On January 30, CM Nitish visited Madhepura, inaugurating and laying the foundation for 69 developmental projects valued at Rs 299.56 crore.
The main event was held at the Government Polytechnic College in Udakishunganj, Rasalpur Dhuria Panchayat, Chausa block of Madhepura, where he virtually inaugurated and launched multiple projects.

CM Nitish Kumar distributed cheques to self-help groups (SHGs) and Jeevika Didis. A total of Rs 33.98 crore was allocated to 5,251 SHGs and Rs 82.55 crore to another 7,685 SHGs. Furthermore, Rs 6.55 crore was granted to 1,232 Jeevika Didis in the district.
CM Nitish inaugurated the 'Centre for Excellence' at the Government Polytechnic College. He laid the foundation stone for the Bihar State Minority Residential School and evaluated the workshop facilities and modern technological equipment at the Polytechnic College.
He also inaugurated a sports ground valued at Rs 9.94 lakhs at Raghunath Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School.
