Patna, Jan 28 (NationPress) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is scheduled to visit Purnea on Tuesday as part of the second phase of his Pragati Yatra. The purpose of this visit is to assess ongoing developmental initiatives, inaugurate, and lay the foundation for various schemes valued at several crores of rupees.

This visit follows his earlier trip to Saharsa on January 23.

During his time in Purnea, the Chief Minister will likely interact directly with local residents, address their issues, and evaluate essential public infrastructure such as schools and Anganwadi centres.

Additionally, he will perform a thorough review of government-run programs in the district. He will be accompanied by senior officials, ministers, and local MLAs, with all necessary administrative arrangements already established to ease the visit.

This trip was originally slated for January 27 but was postponed due to the Chief Minister's illness.

He inaugurated the new school building at the Senior Secondary School in Mainha village, situated in the Sattarkataiya block. He also evaluated the school playground and its facilities, apart from examining the waste processing unit to highlight sustainable waste disposal strategies.
