Patna, March 17 (NationPress) Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is on his ‘Samriddhi Yatra’ (Prosperity Journey), with the fourth phase kicking off in Bhagalpur.

During this visit, he evaluated the advancement of various development projects and reviewed the commitments made during the previous ‘Pragati Yatra,’ while also requesting comprehensive updates on departmental plans.

In Bhagalpur, the Chief Minister laid the groundwork for 56 new projects and officially inaugurated 88 projects, presenting them to the community.

Among the notable initiatives, he laid the foundation stone for the ‘Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Mandap’ located in the Baijani Gram Panchayat of Jagdishpur block.

He also launched multiple other development programs throughout the district.

During the occasion, Nitish Kumar explored departmental stalls, engaged with beneficiaries, and distributed cheques to uplift and encourage them.

Speaking to the audience, Nitish Kumar called upon citizens to join hands in constructing a “Developed Bihar,” advocating for collective endeavors to achieve prosperity in the state.

Notably, a moment during the Bhagalpur event attracted political attention when the stage anchor mistakenly referred to Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary as the “Chief Minister,” igniting new political speculation in the state.

As the event concluded, Nitish Kumar was seen placing his hand on Samrat Chaudhary’s shoulder while guiding him in greeting the public.

The public display of camaraderie and chemistry between the two leaders was a highlight for nearly an hour.

In his speech, Samrat Chaudhary commended Nitish Kumar’s two-decade political journey and leadership, emphasizing his contribution to Bihar’s development.

This event unfolds against the backdrop of rising speculation about a potential leadership transition in Bihar, following the NDA’s recent triumph in the Rajya Sabha elections.

While discussions about potential successors are ongoing, Samrat Chaudhary is being viewed as a leading candidate. However, leaders like Lalan Singh have asserted that any future administration will continue to operate under Nitish Kumar's leadership.

Continuing his Samriddhi Yatra, the Chief Minister later arrived in Banka, where he laid the foundation for 219 projects and inaugurated 278 projects.

He also opened the Community Health Centre in Katoria, dedicating it to the service of the public.

During his visit, he met with ASHA workers, distributed benefits, and inspected stalls that showcased various government initiatives at the Degree College campus in Katoria.

The event was attended by numerous public representatives and officials, including Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and Amarpur MLA Jayant Raj.
