Patna, Feb 6 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, commenced his journey to the districts of Lakhisarai and Sheikhpura on Thursday as part of the Pragati Yatra, where he is anticipated to unveil projects worth several crores.
Prior to this Pragati Yatra, extensive arrangements were made to facilitate a seamless and secure visit.
The Chief Minister is expected to examine a sports complex, the Panchayat government building, and the Rajiv Gandhi Service Centre located in Gangaur village within the Ghatkusumbha block of Sheikhpura.
Moreover, he will review electricity, Jivika stalls, and visit vital amenities, including the health and wellness centre, school, Anganwadi centre, pond, river, water taps, animal shelters, and Indira Awas, paved roads, and other facilities in these two districts.
Nitish Kumar is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for numerous projects worth crores of rupees.
Previously, in preparation for the yatra, administrative and security measures were in full effect, with local officials and NDA members stationed in the area to avert any disturbances.
The Bihar Chief Minister was in Munger on Wednesday for the fourth phase of his Pragati Yatra, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 160 projects totaling ₹440 crore.
He further announced new development initiatives amounting to ₹1,500 crore to enhance infrastructure and public services in the region.
During his visit to Tarapur in Munger, he inaugurated several development projects and revealed new infrastructure plans.
While in Munger for the Pragati Yatra, Nitish Kumar inspected a ₹100 crore Ring Road for Tarapur, expected to significantly enhance connectivity, and laid the foundation stone for a ₹12 crore beautification project for Rishikund to support tourism and natural conservation.
He also inaugurated a 100-bed model Sadar Hospital, ensuring advanced medical services for residents, alongside a ₹6.5 crore project aimed at beautifying Raja Rani pond, thus enriching historical and cultural significance.
Nitish Kumar also evaluated development projects at Dhobai Panchayat, Rangaon, and Nauwagarhi Panchayats.
Additionally, he engaged with Jeevika Groups and distributed financial support and cheques for women's self-help programs.
