In a simultaneous operation, three additional operatives of the gang were also detained, identified as Neeraj Kumar alias Vicky, Chandan Kumar, and Shivam Anand.

As reported by authorities, Neeraj Kumar played a crucial role in overseeing the gang's financial dealings. Bhanu Pratap Singh, the City Superintendent of Police (West), revealed during a press briefing on Friday that the arrests were made possible through the diligent efforts of the Beur SHO and his team.

Singh explained that a tip-off received on Thursday morning indicated the presence of four gang members in the vicinity of the Beur police station, where they were allegedly plotting a crime in Patna.

“Upon receiving intel about their location, we conducted a raid, but they attempted to flee,” Singh stated. He noted that Parmanand Yadav evaded capture towards Jehanabad, while the other three took refuge in the Beur area.

“A joint operation by the Patna Police and the STF led to the capture of Parmanand Yadav after an encounter, while the other three were apprehended by the Beur police,” Singh added.

According to the City SP, Parmanand Yadav has over 20 serious criminal offenses registered against him across various police jurisdictions in Bihar and Jharkhand.

The police recovered a country-made revolver, six live cartridges, Rs 40,000 in cash, and 5,110 Nepalese rupees based on information from the arrested individuals.

Additionally, several passports were found in their possession, hinting at international travel to Nepal and Malaysia, suggesting the gang’s potential global connections.

Senior officials from the Patna police indicated that specialized agencies and the STF would conduct thorough interrogations due to the seriousness of the situation. Investigators are actively examining the gang’s motives for being in Patna, their intended targets, and their expansive network.

A technical team has also been deployed to uncover connections between the detained individuals and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
