Bihar: Police Capture Two Members of Infamous Robbery Gang

Patna, Dec 16 (NationPress) The Patna Police have captured two suspects engaged in a distinctive strategy for executing household robberies.
The individuals, who were employed as masons and laborers, exploited their access to residences to scout potential targets prior to committing thefts.
The significant breakthrough transpired when the suspects, identified as Gaurav Kumar and Suman Kumar, were intercepted by police while attempting to flee on a motorcycle after snatching a woman's gold chain on Monday. During the pursuit, law enforcement apprehended them and recovered the stolen chain, a mobile phone, and the motorcycle used in the crime.
During questioning, the suspects disclosed that they were part of an eight-member gang. They masquerade as masons and laborers to gain employment in homes, carefully planning their thefts while on the job.
Their criminal activities extend beyond household thefts; they also engage in street robberies whenever possible.
“The apprehended suspects have a criminal history and are associated with numerous robbery, chain, and mobile snatching cases throughout various locations in Patna. Their tactic of blending in as laborers has made them challenging to detect until now,” stated Sashi Kumar Rana, SHO of Chowk police station Patna.
Police are actively conducting raids to capture the remaining members of the gang.
In another notable operation, a collaborative team from Bihar Police and the Special Task Force (STF) has arrested two infamous criminals in separate actions.

In another coordinated operation, the STF and Gaya Police arrested Dilip Kumar, an interstate arms smuggler, during a raid in Gaya’s Chandauti police station area. The joint team confiscated 130 live cartridges from his possession.
