Jaipur, April 7 (NationPress) A comprehensive review session regarding the distribution system of both domestic and commercial LPG cylinders in Rajasthan, alongside the growth of Piped Natural Gas (PNG) connections, took place on Tuesday at the Secretariat, presided over by Food and Civil Supplies Minister Sumit Godara.
High-ranking officials from the department, along with representatives from oil and gas marketing firms, participated in this meeting.
The discussions were centered around the existing status of LPG distribution throughout the state, the logistics involved in its distribution, and the development of PNG services.
Officials reported that the distribution of domestic LPG cylinders in Rajasthan is proceeding without issues, while the supply in the commercial sector is also on the rise to meet growing demand.

To utilize this service, applicants are required to submit a request to the relevant District Supply Officer (DSO), along with a copy of their wedding invitation card. Upon receiving the application, the DSO will liaise with the local gas agency to ensure timely delivery.
The Minister underscored the necessity of accelerating the expansion of PNG connections. He urged officials and gas companies to hasten the installation of pipelines, boost new connections, and enhance public and industrial understanding of the advantages of PNG.
Furthermore, Godara mandated that LPG cylinders should not be delivered without the completion of electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) processes to guarantee transparency and ensure benefits are directed solely to eligible consumers.
