Jaipur, Feb 26 (NationPress) Referring to Madhya Pradesh as the "motherland of rivers", Chief Minister Mohan Yadav reaffirmed his dedication to collaborative efforts with Rajasthan regarding the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal (PKC) Project. During an interactive session on Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh in Bhilwara on Thursday, he stated that Madhya Pradesh is ready to work together on the distribution of Chambal river water with Rajasthan.
On the subject of the Chambal river water-sharing agreement, the Chief Minister noted that if Rajasthan were allocated a slightly larger portion of water, Madhya Pradesh would embrace it in the spirit of mutual development and partnership.
“If Rajasthan receives a little more of our water share, it will not concern us; in fact, it will bring us joy. True happiness lies in the progress of both Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan,” he remarked.
Emphasizing his administrative philosophy, Dr. Yadav explained that when officials had concerns about providing Chambal river water, he directed them to adopt a cooperative stance.
“You may write ‘no’ on the file. As the Chief Minister, I will write ‘yes’,” he asserted, reaffirming his commitment to inter-state collaboration.
Reflecting on historical disputes over Chambal river water sharing, he stressed that sustainable development for both states can only be realized through cooperation, dialogue, and positive political intentions.
He reiterated that both Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan governments are dedicated to public welfare and are advancing the water distribution initiative in Rajasthan under the PKC project.
Over 250 industrial groups, textile entrepreneurs, and investors from Bhilwara and across Rajasthan participated in the interactive session.
The event aimed to offer direct insights into investment opportunities, industrial infrastructure, new policies, and incentive schemes available in Madhya Pradesh.
The program began with a ceremonial lighting of the lamp.
In his welcome address, Dr. S.N. Modani, Chairman of RTMA, commended Madhya Pradesh’s progressive industrial policies and their execution, asserting that the state’s ease-of-doing-business framework fosters a competitive and investor-friendly atmosphere.
R.K. Jain, Secretary of the Marwar Chamber of Commerce, lauded the Madhya Pradesh administration for its responsive and industry-friendly approach, suggesting the establishment of a technical textile and ready-made garment park in the Neemuch area.
In his keynote speech, CM Mohan Yadav emphasized that the Madhya Pradesh government guarantees a transparent, straightforward, and investor-friendly environment to attract investments.
He pointed out that substantial investment proposals receive tailored incentives through the Cabinet Committee on Investment Promotion (CCIP), facilitating industrial growth.
Highlighting the significance of Rajasthan-Madhya Pradesh industrial collaboration, he urged entrepreneurs to extend their investments into Madhya Pradesh while maintaining operations in Rajasthan.
An audio-visual presentation showcased emerging industrial opportunities and infrastructure development projects within the state.
Raghavendra Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary of the Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion and MSME, Government of Madhya Pradesh, gave a comprehensive presentation on multiplier-based incentives, export freight subsidies, sector-specific packages, and notable upcoming projects such as the PM Mitra Park in Indore, Mega Investment Park in Ratlam, Medical Device Park in Ujjain, and Maswasi Grant Industrial Area in Sagar.
Senior officials from the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) and the Industry Department conducted one-on-one meetings with prominent industrialists to explore potential investments in textiles, energy, fertilizers, electronics, and other manufacturing sectors.
Among the attendees were Lok Sabha MP from Bhilwara Damodar Agrawal, along with several industrialists, investors, and senior officials.
