New Delhi, March 26 (NationPress) Maharashtra Minister Yogesh Ramdas Kadam has vehemently criticized comedian Kunal Kamra for his latest video, following the uproar caused by his previous 'gaddar' clip that ignited significant political debate.

The comedian's new release, titled 'Hum Honge Kangaal', features footage of the recent demolition of a studio by Shiv Sena workers.

Kadam emphasized that ridiculing Hindu deities, showing disrespect towards the Supreme Court, and mocking state leaders during comedy acts is entirely unacceptable in Maharashtra.

He issued a stern warning that such behavior would be met with serious legal repercussions.

"It is entirely inappropriate to consistently belittle Hindu deities in your comedy performances, show disrespect to the Honorable Supreme Court, or insult state leaders. If Kamra perceives this as comedy, it will be met with zero tolerance in Maharashtra.

"Similar to how a song stirred controversy, if he deliberately targets someone in a subsequent song or ridicules the government or administration, we will initiate legal actions. He is not above the law, nor the Supreme Court, nor the government. Hence, actions will be taken as per the law," he stated.

Kunal Kamra has faced backlash for his contentious remarks, particularly in his latest video, which reportedly aimed at Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

Shiv Sena leader Manisha Kayande also reacted to Kamra's remarks, asserting, "Kunal Kamra is persistently showcasing his distorted mentality. We will address this legally, through the police, and in every feasible manner. A strong response will be given to his actions."

In response to Kamra's earlier video, Mumbai Police issued a summons for the comedian to record his statement regarding the case filed against him.

According to police sources, a team from Khar police station delivered the summons to Kamra's residence in Mumbai, where his parents live. However, since Kamra is currently outside Mumbai, the police sent the summons via WhatsApp.

Kamra’s video, which features critical remarks about Maharashtra's political leadership and the current situation, has incited widespread outrage, prompting both political figures and law enforcement to prepare for necessary legal measures against him.
