New Delhi, Feb 15 (NationPress) On this auspicious day of Mahashivratri falling on Sunday, President Droupadi Murmu conveyed her warm wishes to the nation, seeking the blessings of Lord Shiva for peace and advancement.

In a post shared on X, she stated, “On this sacred day of Mahashivratri, I send my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all my fellow countrymen. I pray that the grace of Mahadev may always be with us, guiding our nation towards constant progress.”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah echoed these sentiments on X, saying, “On this holy occasion of Mahashivratri, I extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes to all my fellow citizens. My prayer is that the grace of Mahadev may remain upon us, and our nation may thrive on the path of progress.”

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also shared his wishes on X, stating, “Warm greetings to all devotees and citizens on this sacred day of Mahashivratri. I pray to Lord Mahadev, the Supreme Deity, that His grace strengthens the spirit of peace and harmony worldwide. May Lord Shiva's blessings guide our nation towards unity, security, and ongoing progress. May happiness, prosperity, and peace fill everyone's life. Har Har Mahadev!”

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari also conveyed his thoughts on X, saying, “Heartfelt wishes to all fellow countrymen on this auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri. I pray to Lord Mahadev for the happiness and prosperity of our great nation.”

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath shared his greetings as well, emphasizing the spiritual significance of the day.

“On this holy bathing festival of Mahashivratri, dedicated to the worship of Devadhidev Mahadev, I send my best wishes to all revered saints, religious leaders, seekers who have come for Kalpavas, and devotees who have gathered at the Triveni Sangam of Tirtharaj Prayag today to take the holy dip of faith,” he mentioned in a post on X.

“May the grace of Devadhidev Mahadev and the sacred Mother Ganga, the giver of merit, be with all devotees. May the efforts of the seekers be fulfilled, and the heartfelt wishes of the devotees be granted—this is my sincere prayer. Har Har Mahadev,” CM Yogi added.

Devotees nationwide flocked to Shiva temples and sacred ghats to offer prayers, perform rituals, and take holy dips, celebrating the occasion with deep devotion and enthusiasm.

Mahashivaratri, one of the most significant Hindu festivals, is celebrated to honor the deity Shiva and commemorate the divine union of Shiva and Parvati.
