Tokyo, Dec 19 (NationPress) India's Ambassador-designate to Japan, Nagma M Mallick, met with Urakawa Mayor Hiraku Ikeda on Friday, expressing gratitude for his unwavering support towards the Indian community in the town.
In a post on X, the Indian Embassy in Japan stated, "Ambassador-designate Ms. Nagma M. Mallick received Mayor Hiraku Ikeda of Urakawa. She appreciated the assistance provided to the Indian community by the town, under the leadership of the Hon’ble Mayor."
On Thursday, Nagma M Mallick also met Japan's Minister of State for Economic and Fiscal Policy, KIUCHI Minoru, discussing various elements of the Special Strategic and Global Partnership shared between the two nations.
The Indian Embassy in Japan shared on X, "Ambassador-designate Ms. Nagma M. Mallick engaged with H. E. Mr. KIUCHI Minoru, Minister of State for Economic and Fiscal Policy, where they deliberated on various facets of the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership."
Additionally, Nagma M Mallick held discussions with Yasutoshi Nishimura, a member of Japan's House of Representatives and Chairman of the Japan-India Parliamentary Friendship Group.
