Tokyo, April 5 (NationPress) India's Ambassador to Japan, Nagma Mallick, had a constructive dialogue with Kotaro Nagasaki, the Governor of Yamanashi Prefecture, on Sunday, exploring avenues to enhance the collaboration between the two nations, particularly emphasizing a more profound interaction with the Prefecture.
While visiting Yamanashi Prefecture, Nagma Mallick also participated in the renowned Shingen-Ko Festival.
According to a post on X by the Indian Embassy in Japan, "Ambassador Nagma M. Mallick visited Yamanashi Prefecture and engaged with Kotaro Nagasaki, discussing strategies to further solidify the India-Japan partnership, focusing on deeper ties with Yamanashi."
"During her time in Yamanashi, the Ambassador also attended the Shingen-Ko Festival — the largest Samurai Festival globally — held in Kofu City," the post further stated.
Previously, on March 26, External Affairs Minister (EAM) S. Jaishankar met with his Japanese counterpart Toshimitsu Motegi during the G7 Foreign Ministers Meeting in France.

On March 6, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri had a meeting with Sadamasa Oue, Special Advisor to Japan's Prime Minister, to discuss bolstering defense technology and economic security.
As Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated on X, "Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met with Sadamasa Oue, engaging in a productive dialogue on enhancing the defense technology and economic security aspects of the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership."
On February 8, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Sanae Takaichi, Japan's Prime Minister, on her electoral success in the House of Representatives.
In his message, PM Modi expressed optimism about continuing to elevate the friendship between India and Japan alongside Takaichi.
"Congratulations, Sanae Takaichi, on your significant victory in the House of Representatives elections! Our Special Strategic and Global Partnership is crucial for promoting global peace, stability, and prosperity. I am confident that under your capable leadership, we will further enhance the friendship between India and Japan," he posted on X.
In response, Takaichi expressed gratitude to PM Modi and indicated her eagerness to collaborate in strengthening the special strategic and global partnership between the two countries.
"Thank you very much, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for your kind congratulations on my election. I look forward to working closely with you to fortify the Special Strategic and Global Partnership between Japan and India and to cooperate in realizing a Free and Open Indo-Pacific," Takaichi wrote on X.
