The 57-year-old actor attended the premiere of the new HBO original series, where he plays the role of FBI agent Tom Brandis, according to a report by 'People' magazine.
In his quest to prepare for the character, Ruffalo consulted with retired FBI special agent Scott Duffey, who imparted a significant lesson about individuals in the field. “I discovered that the most effective FBI agents possess a great deal of empathy,” he said.
According to 'People', when he wasn't with Duffey, Ruffalo spent a considerable amount of time exploring Philadelphia, the filming location of the show, indulging in the city’s iconic cuisine.
“I savored numerous Philly cheesesteak sandwiches,” he remarked. “I ended up gaining quite a bit of weight.”
