Lucknow, Oct 16 (NationPress) Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati urged party members on Thursday to initiate preparations for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. She emphasized the importance of remaining vigilant against false propaganda and misinformation propagated by opposing parties.
During a state-level review meeting held at the party headquarters, Mayawati highlighted that the overwhelming success of the October 9 rally, commemorating the death anniversary of BSP founder Kanshi Ram, served as a testament to the unwavering support for the party's mission, ideology, and leadership.
She expressed her congratulations to party leaders, workers, and supporters for the rally's success, remarking it conveyed a robust message that the BSP continues to be a formidable force in Uttar Pradesh politics.
Reiterating the party's ideology, Mayawati stated that the BSP does not rely on capitalists or industrialists, but is committed to social transformation and economic upliftment.
"The BSP aims for the enhancement of Dalits, backward classes, tribals, Muslims, and other marginalized communities," she asserted, adding that the party's politics is grounded in honesty, dedication, and service—"as transparent as an open book."
Critiquing the Samajwadi Party (SP) government, Mayawati accused it of exhibiting casteist tendencies by renaming institutions, districts, and universities originally named after revered saints, gurus, and icons of the Bahujan Samaj.
She claimed that numerous welfare schemes intended for these communities had been halted, branding it as an act of "political malice and deceit."
Mayawati asserted that unlike its competitors, the BSP refrains from engaging in coercive politics, bribery, or discrimination, and is instead committed to justice and equality.
During the meeting, the party finalized an action plan under the “Bahujan Mission 2027,” which will encompass outreach campaigns throughout villages across the state.
Senior party leaders have been assigned to hold public meetings in their respective areas to disseminate awareness about the BSP’s vision for law and order, social justice, and welfare.
Mayawati called on party workers to counter the misinformation spread by political adversaries and to bolster unity within the Bahujan community.
“Every worker must convey the party’s message to the grassroots and discredit the misleading propaganda of the opposition,” she stated.
Party leaders at the meeting assured the BSP chief that her directives would be executed diligently and vowed to work earnestly to secure the party's return to power in 2027.
