Hyderabad, Feb 4 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his condolences regarding the passing of Cheeti Sakalamma, the sister of former Telangana Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

The Prime Minister penned a heartfelt letter to K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), extending his deepest sympathies.

Sakalamma passed away on January 25 following a prolonged illness at the age of 82.

"This profound loss creates a void that can never be replaced. Her warmth, kindness, and nurturing spirit will always be remembered by the family," the letter states.

"A person of great compassion and empathy, Smt. Cheeti Sakalamma Garu will forever be cherished in your memories and hold a special place in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her," the Prime Minister continued.

He emphasized that the values she imparted will continue to motivate the family, and the memories shared will offer comfort during this challenging time.

"My deepest condolences and thoughts are with you and your family. May you find strength and resilience to cope with this significant loss," concluded the Prime Minister.

In the meantime, KCR attended the 10th-day rituals for his sister in Kompally and paid floral tributes.

KCR's son and BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao, along with several former ministers, MLAs, MLCs, and other leaders, participated in the rituals to honor Sakalamma.

Sakalamma passed away in a hospital in Hyderabad.

Originally from the village of Ellareddy Peta Mandal in the Rajanna Sirisilla district, Sakalamma was one of six sisters of KCR. Her husband, Hanuman Rao, had died a few years prior.
