Tributes Paid by Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chief Ministers to Narasimha Rao on His Death Anniversary

Hyderabad, Dec 23 (NationPress) The Chief Ministers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh came together to honor former Prime Minister P. V. Narasimha Rao on the anniversary of his passing on Monday.

In a heartfelt tribute, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy remarked that the cherished son of Telangana was instrumental in guiding India from turmoil to unprecedented heights. Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu also expressed his respect for Narasimha Rao.

The leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) referred to Narasimha Rao as a skilled administrator who navigated the nation through crises with impactful reforms, propelling the country forward. Naidu shared this sentiment on X.

“As we commemorate PV's death anniversary, I extend my respects to the memory of this multifaceted genius,” Naidu stated.

Also, B. Mahesh Kumar Gound, president of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), visited PV Gyan Bhoomi in Hyderabad to honor Narasimha Rao on the occasion of his 20th death anniversary.

“It is challenging to find the right words to encapsulate the essence of P. V. Narasimha Rao ji. He was genuinely a lifelong learner,” noted the Congress leader.

Additional tributes were paid by Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy, Telangana Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, Government Advisor K. Kesava Rao, and members of Narasimha Rao’s family at PV Gyan Bhoomi.

K.T. Rama Rao, working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), also honored the economist, politician, polyglot, and Bharat Ratna former Prime Minister P. V. Narasimha Rao on his death anniversary, calling him the pride of Telangana.

“His birth in Telangana fills us with pride. PV navigated the country through a challenging period as Prime Minister, steering it away from financial crisis and laying the groundwork for modern India,” KTR tweeted on X.

The BRS leader highlighted that the BRS government has duly recognized the beloved son of the state since the formation of Telangana.

KTR recalled that the BRS government celebrated Narasimha Rao's birth centenary with grand festivities. “We renamed Necklace Road as PV Marg, erected a statue of PV, and named the Veterinary University after him,” he said.

“Furthermore, the Telangana government has proposed to the Central government to award the Bharat Ratna to P. V. Narasimha Rao. Additionally, PV’s daughter has been nominated to the Legislative Council.”
