Did PM Modi Dedicate Himself to the Nation During the Launch of Rs 24,000 Crore Development Projects in Gujarat?

Dahod, May 26 (NationPress) On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially inaugurated and laid the groundwork for multiple development initiatives in Dahod, Gujarat, with a total investment of Rs 24,000 crore. The projects encompass essential railway infrastructure and various initiatives aligned with the Gujarat government's development strategy.

Among the significant announcements, PM Modi launched the Vande Bharat Express, which connects Veraval and Ahmedabad, and introduced an express train service linking Valsad and Dahod.

This launch is anticipated to significantly enhance regional rail connectivity.

Upon his arrival at the venue, the Prime Minister was welcomed by an enthusiastic crowd wielding the national Tricolour and cheering as he addressed them.

Reflecting on his journey since assuming office, PM Modi reminisced about the day he first took on the role of Prime Minister on May 26, 2014.

"In these years, I have dedicated myself to the nation. Long-standing constraints have been shattered. The country has made choices that were once considered unimaginable and unprecedented. We have advanced in every sector," he stated, addressing the large audience.

Discussing India's ongoing pursuit of self-reliance, the Prime Minister remarked, "Today, we, the 140 crore citizens, are diligently working towards making our nation a Viksit Bharat. The current demand is that all resources required for our progress must be produced within India."

"India is making swift strides in the manufacturing sector. Whether producing goods for domestic consumption or exporting Indian-made products globally, this growth is relentless," he continued.

PM Modi also underscored the nation's technological advancements: "Today, India not only produces the necessary technology for rail and metro systems for its own needs but also exports it. Our Dahod stands as a testament to this progress."

Referring to the newly opened electric locomotive manufacturing facility in Dahod, he stated, "Three years ago, I laid its foundation. Some skeptics mocked and criticized, claiming that nothing would materialize despite the factory's foundation being laid during an election period. However, today, after three years, we all witness the successful production of the first electric locomotive."

Earlier, he inaugurated the Loco Manufacturing Shop-Rolling Stock Workshop in Dahod and flagged off the first electric locomotive produced at this facility, marking a crucial infrastructure milestone for Indian Railways.

Dedicating the Dahod locomotive manufacturing unit to the nation, PM Modi emphasized the significance of the workshop, which was established with an investment of Rs 20,000 crore.

The foundation for this project was laid in 2022, and in just three years, the cutting-edge production center has become operational.

The workshop boasts an annual production capacity of 120 electric locomotives, which can be scaled up to 150 units based on future demands.

Under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model, Indian Railways aims to manufacture 1,200 electric locomotives at this facility over the next decade.

Each of these 9,000 HP locomotives, in line with PM Modi's vision of 'Make in India' and 'Atmanirbhar Bharat', will carry the label 'Manufactured in Dahod'.

These powerful engines are capable of transporting 4,600 tonnes of cargo and are intended for both domestic utilization and export.

PM Modi also received a rousing welcome in Vadodara, with thousands of supporters lining the route of his roadshow to greet him.

Chants of 'Bharat Mata ki Jai', 'Modi-Modi', and 'Vande Mataram' resonated through the streets as citizens participated in a special 'Sindoor Samman Yatra', waving the national flag and showering flowers on the Prime Minister.

He expressed gratitude for the blessings received during the roadshow.

Numerous participants donned costumes paying tribute to the Indian Armed Forces and PM Modi for his leadership during Operation Sindoor.

This visit marks PM Modi's first return to his home state following India's recent military operations targeting terrorist hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

The Prime Minister is set to journey to Bhuj to launch development projects exceeding Rs 53,400 crore, which will encompass initiatives in Kandla Port, solar energy, power transmission, and road infrastructure.

He will also unveil four drinking water supply schemes costing Rs 181 crore, aimed at benefiting 4.62 lakh individuals across 193 villages and one town in the Mahisagar and Dahod districts.

On the morning of May 27, at 10:30 a.m., he will conduct another roadshow in Gandhinagar, expected to attract over 30,000 BJP workers. Following this, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation for projects valued at Rs 5,536 crore at Mahatma Mandir.

Among the significant projects, the Prime Minister will inaugurate 22,055 houses built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for Rs 1,006 crore. He will also lay the foundation for Phase 3 of the Sabarmati Riverfront, estimated to cost Rs 1,000 crore.

In a bid to enhance urban development, PM Modi will distribute cheques amounting to Rs 3,300 crore to urban local bodies under the Swarnim Jayanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana.
