New Delhi, May 25 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a two-day visit to Gujarat starting May 26. He will unveil and inaugurate projects valued at thousands of crores and participate in the festivities marking 20 years of the Gujarat Urban Growth Story.
On May 26, as part of his dedication to enhancing connectivity and developing world-class travel infrastructure, PM Modi will inaugurate a locomotive manufacturing plant designed to produce 9000 HP electric locomotives for both domestic consumption and export.
The Prime Minister will also flag off the inaugural electric locomotive from this facility, which is expected to enhance the freight capacity of Indian Railways. These locomotives are engineered to minimize energy usage, supporting environmental sustainability.
During his visit, PM Modi will lay the groundwork and inaugurate various development projects totaling approximately Rs 24,000 crore and will address a public gathering in Dahod.
Furthermore, he will lay the foundation and launch an array of projects worth over Rs 53,400 crore in Bhuj, which includes transmission projects to facilitate renewable energy evacuation from the Khavda Renewable Energy Park and the expansion of the transmission network.
