New Delhi, May 27 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to unveil the Urban Development Year 2025 initiative in Gandhinagar, Gujarat on Tuesday, celebrating two decades of the state’s structured and sustainable urban transformation.
The event, commencing at around 11 a.m., is anticipated to attract significant attention as it delineates the forthcoming phase of Gujarat’s urban initiatives, further solidifying the state’s status as a pioneer in urban planning, clean energy, and infrastructure innovation.

The Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the groundwork for several essential projects concerning urban development, healthcare, and water supply.

In a significant advancement for India’s Make in India initiative and railway infrastructure, PM Modi will inaugurate the cutting-edge Indian Railways Locomotive Manufacturing Plant in Dahod. This facility will produce robust 9000 HP electric locomotives intended for both domestic use and export.
He will also mark the launch of the first electric locomotive manufactured at the facility. These powerful locomotives are projected to substantially improve Indian Railways' freight capacity and efficiency.
