New Delhi, Aug 15 (NationPress) Today marks the 79th Independence Day celebration, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi presiding over the festivities at the historic Red Fort in Delhi.
The Prime Minister is set to hoist the National Flag and deliver an address to the nation from the ramparts of this iconic landmark.
This year's celebration theme, 'Naya Bharat' (New India), resonates with the nation's ambitious journey towards achieving the government's vision of Viksit Bharat by the year 2047.
The event will highlight the ongoing progress towards a thriving, secure, and courageous Naya Bharat, as noted in an official statement.
This year, the successful 'Operation Sindoor' will also be acknowledged during the Independence Day events.
