Kolkata, April 11 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi remarked on Saturday afternoon that the level of public enthusiasm and the sheer number of attendees at his campaign rallies in West Bengal this time is unprecedented, surpassing even what he has experienced in his home state of Gujarat. “I could never have organized a rally of this magnitude at noon in Gujarat, even if I had tried. The gatherings here are remarkable, and I am truly impressed. It’s clear that change is imminent in this state following May 4. These vibrant assemblies are just a preview of what is to come,” he stated during a rally in East Burdwan district as the pivotal Assembly elections approach.

The Assembly elections will occur in two phases on April 23 and April 29, with results expected on May 4.

Modi emphasized that should the BJP secure power in West Bengal, the new administration would publish a White Paper detailing the corruption that has transpired over the past 15 years under the Trinamool Congress rule.

“The Trinamool Congress is already in a state of panic, which is evident from their claims that all welfare schemes will be halted if the BJP comes to power. I assure you, not a single welfare initiative will be terminated. However, the corrupt practices and illicit gains of Trinamool Congress leaders will be put to an end,” he asserted.

During the rally, the Prime Minister announced that if the BJP comes to power, the inaugural Cabinet under the new chief minister will pass a resolution to implement the Ayushman Bharat scheme in the state.

“The Trinamool Congress government has long deprived the people of West Bengal by obstructing the rollout of the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Those days will be over once the BJP is in charge,” PM Modi declared.

He also indicated that the new BJP government would take strict measures against infiltrators and those who facilitated their illegal settlement in West Bengal by providing them with false identity documents.

Point of View

PM Modi's remarks underscore the political landscape in West Bengal as the BJP aims to gain a foothold in a state historically dominated by the Trinamool Congress. His emphasis on transparency and welfare could resonate with voters seeking change.
