The Prime Minister will take part in the event around 4 p.m. at Bharat Mandapam, according to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).
Running from February 14-17, this event is distinctive as it unites the complete textile value chain—from raw materials to finished goods, including accessories—under one roof.
The ‘Bharat Tex’ platform represents the textile sector's largest and most extensive gathering, featuring a grand expo spread across two locations that display the entire textile ecosystem.
India ranks as the sixth-largest exporter of textiles and apparel, with exports valued at $34 billion in 2023, directly employing over 45 million individuals.
The conference will also host a global-scale event with more than 70 sessions, including roundtables, panel discussions, and master classes.
Additionally, the event will showcase exhibitions, a hackathon-based ‘Startup Pitch Fest’, and innovation fairs, along with tech and design challenges that present funding prospects for startups through prominent investors.
‘Bharat Tex 2025’ is anticipated to draw policymakers and global CEOs, featuring over 5,000 exhibitors and 6,000 international buyers from more than 120 nations, alongside various other attendees.
As stated by Union Minister of Textiles Giriraj Singh, ‘Bharat Tex 2025’ highlights resilient global value chains and textile sustainability.
This year's gathering revolves around two main themes: resilient global value chains and textile sustainability. This grand textile event provides a variety of activities, including a worldwide trade fair and expo, a large textiles conference, seminars, CEO roundtables, and B2B and G2G meetings.
Related exhibitions featuring accessories, garment machinery, dyes, chemicals, and handicrafts are ongoing until February 15 at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida.
