Mohan Yadav Tours the Birthplace of B.R. Ambedkar in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal, Dec 20 (NationPress) In the wake of a controversy regarding an alleged 'disrespect' towards B.R. Ambedkar that resulted in tumultuous scenes within the Parliament just a day prior, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav traveled to Mhow, the birthplace of the architect of the Constitution, on Friday.
This visit coincided with the convocation ceremony of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University in Mhow, Indore.
During the event, Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel served as the chief guest, where 16 researchers were honored with Ph.D. degrees.
In his address, the Chief Minister emphasized that everything Dr. Ambedkar learned was dedicated to society, and the Constitution stands as evidence of the unity among India's diverse culture, tribes, and citizens.
The Chief Minister declared plans for additional faculties to be established at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University of Social Sciences in Mhow, indicating that decisions would be made at the forthcoming meeting of Vice-Chancellors chaired by the Governor in January.
Later, while speaking at another event in Indore, the Chief Minister weighed in on the ongoing controversy. The Opposition has recently criticized remarks made by Home Minister Amit Shah in Parliament, labeling them as 'disrespectful' towards Ambedkar.
In a strong rebuttal aimed at the Opposition, particularly Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister stated that the citizens of the nation have expressed their faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He asserted that all attempts by Congress to tarnish the reputation of the BJP government will ultimately fail.
'The Congress has never respected Dr. Ambedkar, and as they find themselves losing political ground, their frustration has reached a point where they are making unfounded accusations against the BJP's leadership. Regardless of what Rahul Gandhi or his associates do, the BJP under PM Modi's leadership is more than capable of delivering a fitting counter,' CM Yadav remarked.
Discussing the significance of B.R. Ambedkar's birthplace in Mhow, the Chief Minister noted that the BJP government has renamed the village in his honor.
He also mentioned that five historical sites linked to Dr. Ambedkar have been incorporated into the pilgrimage sites list under the Madhya Pradesh government’s Mukhyamantri Tirth-Darshan Yojana.
'The Congress held power in Madhya Pradesh for numerous years, and today I pose a question to them - what have they accomplished for the development of Dr. Ambedkar's birthplace in Mhow? The Nehru-Gandhi family shows no respect for Dr. Ambedkar; they merely used his name for electoral gains. Rahul Gandhi and his team are trying to discredit PM Modi's government with baseless allegations, which will not succeed,' CM Yadav concluded.
