Bhopal, Aug 16 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Sarang criticized the Congress party after an incident involving the official Facebook page of the state Youth Congress, which allegedly posted the message “Happy Independence Pakistan” on Independence Day.
A video of the controversial post circulated widely on social media, highlighting that the Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress's official Facebook page included the hashtag “Happy Independence Pakistan”, rather than celebrating India's Independence Day.
The contentious post was quickly removed following the backlash on Friday, with the Youth Congress asserting that their Facebook page had been “hacked”.
BJP Minister Vishwas Sarang, who shared a screenshot of the Youth Congress post on his social media, remarked that the “leaders of the grand old party have always kept Pakistan in their hearts.”
Sarang, representing the Narela Assembly seat in Bhopal, expressed that after he raised concerns about the Youth Congress post, it was deleted promptly, yet no apology was issued.
“How can one forget to mention India or Bharat on the occasion of Independence Day? They were celebrating Pakistan's Independence Day on their social media. That post has been removed after I highlighted the issue, but none of the senior Congress leaders have apologized for it,” Sarang told IANS.
The BJP leader further asserted that the opposition questions India's Armed Forces and demands proof of surgical strikes and 'Operation Sindoor' because “they love Pakistan.”
“We have consistently stated that Congress talks in favor of Pakistan, glorifying it and projecting it on the world map; this has always been part of Congress’s agenda,” Sarang added.
In response, Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress president Mitendra Singh rejected the accusations, claiming that the page was hacked. “We are filing a police complaint. The BJP is politicizing a mischievous act by miscreants,” he stated.
