Mumbai, Aug 6 (NationPress) Actor-producer Mukesh Khanna, renowned for his passion for the legendary television series ‘Shaktimaan’, recently revealed that he maintains positive connections with his fellow actors from the iconic Indian epic television show ‘Mahabharat’.
In a recent conversation with IANS regarding his new song, Khanna was asked if he still keeps in touch with the ‘Mahabharat’ cast. He responded, “We lived like a family for two years. Everyone had a good relationship with me, but we have not met lately as everyone is engrossed in their own lives. However, we do connect over the phone.”
He elaborated, “Occasionally, we reunite for events. Yet, two actors have moved on. Girija Shankar is in America and recently sent me a message about a Gujarati film. So, we still share a good rapport.”
Previously, Khanna had also provided an update regarding the much-anticipated reboot of ‘Shaktimaan’, which is set to be transformed into a full-length feature film.
He mentioned that while the film is poised to captivate audiences, it has encountered some obstacles. When pressed for details about these challenges, Khanna's response was somewhat vague but he assured that the film will eventually grace the big screen, describing it as a significant project.
In a previous discussion, the actor weighed in on actress Urvashi's criticism of the National Awards for awarding the Best Actor title to Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan.
Urvashi, a prominent figure in Malayalam cinema, won the National Award for ‘Best Supporting Actress’ for her role in ‘Ullozhukku’ and questioned the jury's integrity in granting SRK this prestigious honor.
Mukesh Khanna was asked for his opinion during an exclusive interview with IANS. The veteran actor emphasized that suggesting the National Award should have gone to a South film industry actor is also politically charged.
