Srinagar, Oct 29 (NationPress) Bollywood actor Mukesh Rishi observed the proceedings of the J&K Assembly from the Speaker’s Gallery on Wednesday, where his presence was warmly received by members from various political parties.

Hailing from J&K, Rishi was born on April 19, 1956, into a Gujjar Chaudhary family in the Kathua district.

The Autumn Session of the J&K Assembly will conclude on October 31. Following its end, key government offices, including those of the Chief Minister and other officials, will transition to the winter capital, Jammu.
This transition, known as the Dabar Move, will see these offices operating from Jammu for six months.
The practice of alternating offices between Srinagar and Jammu, which was halted by the Lt Governor in 2021, was reinstated by the elected government under Omar Abdullah.
