Srinagar, Oct 29 (NationPress) Bollywood actor Mukesh Rishi observed the proceedings of the J&K Assembly from the Speaker’s Gallery on Wednesday, where his presence was warmly received by members from various political parties.

The Assembly members greeted Rishi with a round of applause as Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather announced his attendance.

Hailing from J&K, Rishi was born on April 19, 1956, into a Gujjar Chaudhary family in the Kathua district.

Raised in Jammu, he completed his education at Government College, Sector 11, Chandigarh, and spent two years working in Mumbai. Following that, he moved to Fiji for work, where he met his future wife, an Indo-Fijian whose family owned a traditional departmental store. Rishi has a diverse investment portfolio, including warehouse investments.

Before launching his acting career in India, he also worked as a model in New Zealand.

Recognized for his roles as a villain and a supporting actor, Rishi has made significant contributions to Hindi, Telugu, and other film industries. His notable Bollywood films include Gunda (1998), Sarfarosh (1999), and Koi... Mil Gaya (2003).
