Patna, April 7 (NationPress) Following the critical remarks made by the Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar during his visit to Bihar, prominent NDA leaders, including Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh and JD-U National Working President Sanjay Jha, retaliated, labeling the LoP’s visit as a “fashionable tour.”

“If Rahul Gandhi intends to embark on a fashionable tour, that’s his choice. Lately, carrying a copy of the Constitution has become his new political trend. His family has a legacy of disregarding the Constitution,” argued the Union Minister.

In a critique of Rahul Gandhi’s outfit during the padayatra (foot-march), Singh remarked: “When he’s in India, it’s white T-shirts and jeans, but abroad, he opts for kurta-pajama. Does this wardrobe change signify anything? This theatrics won’t impact Bihar.”

He further questioned Rahul Gandhi’s understanding of employment and development in Bihar. “He speaks of jobs. Does he even grasp the meaning of employment? Appointment letters are being issued daily here in Bihar. He’s clueless and merely wandering around aimlessly,” he asserted.

He mentioned that there is no curfew in Bihar and stated that anyone is free to visit, but the public should decide. “The populace has already chosen to support NDA,” he added.

Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Jha, also the national working president of JD-U, shared similar views, questioning Rahul Gandhi’s political intentions behind his frequent visits to Bihar.

“What relevance does Rahul Gandhi have with Bihar? He speaks of migration. However, let’s remember — the highest migration from Bihar occurred during the RJD-Congress administration. Businessmen, doctors — everyone had to flee the state during their rule,” Jha claimed.

He emphasized that the situation in Bihar has transformed under the Nitish Kumar-led NDA government, which has focused on development, employment, and law and order.

“Everyone is welcome in Bihar. However, Rahul Gandhi’s sudden interest appears more like a political stunt than a genuine commitment to the people of the state,” Jha concluded.
