Patna, Sep 1 (NationPress) Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai has vigorously responded to the opposition, specifically targeting RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, following their statements at the end of the Voter Adhikar Yatra.
In reaction to Yadav's assertion that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is the "father of moral corruption," Rai countered that the RJD leader lacks the moral standing to make such claims.
“The family whose past is marred by the fodder scam, tar scam, milk scam, and job scam cannot lecture anyone on ethical behavior. If there is a representation of corruption not just in Bihar but across the nation, it is the Lalu family," Rai asserted.
The Union Minister dismissed the Voter Adhikar Yatra as mere political theatrics.
“The primary aim of this Yatra was to slander, shield infiltrators, tamper with the dignity and identity of Biharis, and tarnish the reputation of Bihar's people. The nation witnessed how our esteemed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and even his respected mother were insulted. Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav must remember - this is Bihar, and anti-national elements will find no refuge here,” Rai emphasized.
Turning his focus to Gandhi, Rai stated that those who currently flaunt the Constitution have a history of undermining it.
“History shows how the architect of the Constitution, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, was defeated in elections and perpetually disrespected by the Congress. For such individuals to visit the land of democracy and advocate for the preservation of the Constitution is the height of hypocrisy,” he remarked.
In a pointed religious comparison, Rai accused Tejashwi of endorsing corruption and nepotism.
“While Tejashwi invokes the name of Lord Krishna, his actions contradict the principles exemplified by Krishna. Where Lord Krishna vanquished his tyrant uncle Kansa and worked for societal betterment, Tejashwi represents the safeguarding of scams and corruption. Krishna emphasized the significance of karma in the Gita, yet Tejashwi’s actions seem solely rooted in exploitation,” Rai claimed.
Alleging unruliness during the Yatra, the former Bihar BJP chief asserted that opposition supporters engaged in illegal activities.
“During the Voter Rights Yatra, supporters of the RJD and Congress stole the motorcycles of numerous individuals. If these groups assume power in Bihar, today they’re seizing bikes, tomorrow they could take your homes, land, and businesses. People must remain vigilant against such forces,” Rai cautioned.
