New Delhi, Nov 10 (NationPress) Senior BJP figure and former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad asserted that the BJP-led NDA is poised for a “decisive, effective, and historic victory” in Bihar as the second phase of voting approaches on Tuesday.
Speaking to the press at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi, Prasad indicated that the opposition's “frustration” signifies their acknowledgment of impending defeat.
“Tejashwi Yadav conducted a press conference after the campaign period concluded. Such remarks during the silence period imply his concession,” Prasad stated.
In response to Yadav's claims regarding industrial growth in BJP-governed regions, Prasad countered that the RJD leader “fails to do his homework.”
He pointed out that Bihar has witnessed the establishment of 17 ethanol plants, textile parks, and has emerged as a “major hub” for the biscuit industry.
“MoUs exceeding Rs 1.18 lakh crore have been signed. Today, Bihar is free from the shadow of terror,” he remarked.
Prasad noted that the NDA's sustained success over the last two decades is rooted in the “trust factor” among the populace.
He praised the significant turnout at the roadshows of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, labeling it a “testament to public faith and the PM’s popularity.”
Describing the election as a conflict between “jungle raj and good governance,” Prasad accused Tejashwi Yadav of continuing the legacy of corruption and lawlessness from his father, Lalu Prasad Yadav.
“During the jungle raj era, ransom amounts were determined at the CM’s residence,” he alleged.
In a jab at the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, Prasad remarked, “Rahul Gandhi is merely a political tourist. He embarks on safaris instead of engaging in serious campaigning. His raised issues are outdated and irrelevant.”
Regarding claims about police deployment from BJP-led states, Prasad clarified that “forces are deployed by the Election Commission, not by political entities.”
He urged caution regarding voter turnout statistics, stating, “Let’s await the data from the Election Commission; everything will soon become clear.”
