Jaipur, April 24 (NationPress) A tragic incident has occurred as another NEET aspirant was discovered deceased in Rajasthan's Kota, merely 10 days prior to the examinations. The individual has been identified as Roshan Sharma, aged 23, whose body was located near a railway track adjacent to Landmark City in Kota on Thursday.

The remains were found concealed in the bushes and recognized through a call from the student’s mobile device made by his family. According to police reports, Roshan, originally from Tughlakabad, Delhi, had his last conversation with family members on Wednesday night.

During this conversation, he allegedly expressed: "Neither will I return home, nor will I sit for the exam."

Officer Arvind Bhardwaj from Kunhadi Police Station confirmed the recovery of the student’s body near the railway track. Initial findings indicate that Roshan may have died by suicide, potentially after ingesting poison, just 10 days before the NEET exam.

The family mentioned they maintained consistent communication with Roshan even after their return to Delhi, with their final dialogue occurring on Wednesday night.

Although poisoning is suspected, the definitive cause of death remains unverified. The body has been transferred to the mortuary of MBS Hospital, with a postmortem scheduled once family members arrive in Kota.

Previously, another NEET aspirant took his own life; he was from Bihar. On Tuesday, he committed suicide just weeks ahead of his upcoming exam in the first week of May. This student, residing in Chhapra, Bihar, was living in a private hostel within the Kunhadi police precinct.

The tragic event occurred around 6 a.m. on Tuesday.

Authorities discovered a suicide note in the room, where the student clearly articulated that the NEET exam was not the catalyst for his decision. He had also communicated with his sister via WhatsApp, reiterating that, "It’s not your fault," and added, "None of you are accountable for my suicide, nor is this related to the NEET paper."

Experts have noted an alarming increase in suicide incidents ahead of exams like NEET and JEE, emphasizing the necessity for student counseling to mitigate such occurrences.
