A female student was found deceased, having hanged herself from a ceiling fan in her PG accommodation located in the Jawahar Nagar police station vicinity around 10 a.m., according to local officials.

Circle Inspector (CI) Ram-Lakshman confirmed the identity of the student as Afsha Sheikh, who hailed from Ahmedabad, Gujarat. She had moved to Kota approximately six months prior.

Afsha was residing at the Pratiksha Residency. On the morning of the incident, the owner of the PG discovered her hanging from a noose within her room. The police were promptly notified, and the family of the student was also informed, as stated by officials.

The post-mortem examination will take place once her family arrives. Currently, the motive behind her suicide remains undisclosed.
