Chennai, Jan 10 (NationPress) Actress Nithya Menen, who takes the lead role in director Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi’s anticipated film ‘Kadhalikka Neramillai,' asserts that this movie cannot be categorized as a rom-com, but instead, it is more accurately described as a romantic drama.
During a press event organized by the film’s team prior to its release on January 14, Nithya Menen, who stars alongside Jayam Ravi, expressed her long-standing desire to participate in a film like Kadhalikka Neramillai.
“I am extremely proud of this film. I have always wished to be part of a project that transcends boundaries and offers fun. We cannot label this as a rom-com; it is truly a romantic drama,” Nithya emphasized.
The actress shared how she was approached for this project, saying, “I first heard the narration of this script about a year and a half ago. Kiruthiga called me while I was driving and narrated the story. Whenever I hear a narration, I visualize the entire film in my mind. Seeing the film on a large screen now makes me wonder if my vision would come to life. I am thrilled that it is so stunning.”
Expressing her admiration for her director, Nithya Menen remarked, “On this set, there was not a single individual who allowed their egos to interfere. I will cherish this experience and look forward to collaborating on films with this crew for a lifetime.”
Kadhalikka Neramillai, directed by Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi, stars Nithya Menen and Jayam Ravi in leading roles. The cast also includes actors Vinay Rai, Yogi Babu, TJ Banu, John Kokken, Lal, Lakshmi Ramakrishnan, Singer Mano, Vinothini, and Rohaan Singh, among others.
The film features music by A R Rahman, with cinematography by Gavemic Ary. Editing is handled by Lawrence Kishore and choreography by Shobi Paulraj, Sandy, and Leelavathi. Red Giant Movies is the production house behind this film.
