Patna, Aug 18 (NationPress) The son of Bihar’s Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar, Nishant Kumar, has boldly claimed that his father is set to reclaim the position of Chief Minister in the upcoming Assembly elections. In response to Tejashwi Yadav’s accusation that Nitish Kumar is mimicking his announcements, Nishant remarked, “Has Nitish Kumar been imitating him for the last 20 years? He has made significant contributions across various sectors including health, education, and electricity. He has introduced free 125 units of electricity, facilitated reservations, and carried out a caste census. His commendable work has been consistent for two decades.”
“Following the Bihar Assembly elections in 2025, my father will once again take the helm as Chief Minister,” he added.
When questioned about Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ against the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists, Nishant chose not to comment directly, stating that it was a matter for the Election Commission to address.
Addressing concerns regarding Nitish Kumar’s health, Nishant dismissed the rumors, affirming, “His health is perfectly fine.”
Meanwhile, Union Textile Minister Giriraj Singh launched a fierce critique of Congress and RJD, accusing their members of misleading the public in Begusarai by distributing forms for a fictitious government scheme named “Mai Behan Yojana.”
Singh alleged that this was merely a political tactic.
“Just as Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge filled forms with empty promises during elections in Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh, the same deception is being employed in Begusarai,” he noted.
In a jab at Congress leaders, Singh quipped, “If they have no funds, should they at least sign an affidavit promising that they will provide money if they come to power?”
The Union Minister demanded the district administration take stringent measures, insisting that legal actions be initiated against those engaging in fraudulent activities.
He cautioned that if authorities did not act, society would have no choice but to confront such individuals decisively.
In a plea to the Election Commission, Giriraj Singh accused RJD workers of resorting to manipulative politics, claiming there is substantial evidence of this malpractice.
