Patna, Feb 25 (NationPress) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's son Nishant Kumar on Tuesday called for support for his father in the forthcoming 2025 Assembly Elections.
"For 19 years, Bihar has flourished under my father's guidance. Even when JD-U secured only 43 seats in the previous election in 2020, he kept working tirelessly for Bihar. This time, we require a larger number of seats to ensure that his leadership continues to drive the state's progress and development," he stated.
"Nitish Kumar is the undisputed leader of the NDA in Bihar," he emphasized, adding that his father will spearhead the alliance in the upcoming elections.
In response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Ladla CM' comment, Nishant remarked, "There is a coalition, which is beneficial for Bihar's future."
Nishant urged JD-U supporters to reach out to the public and inform them about CM Nitish's achievements over the past 19 years.
When questioned about his potential entry into politics, Nishant replied: "The public will determine what unfolds next. Let them assess who is truly capable."
This statement follows RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav's call for him to consider a political career on Monday evening.
Speculation is rife that Nishant may run in the 2025 Bihar elections and assume a more significant role within JD-U.
As Bihar gears up for a pivotal Assembly Election, CM Nitish's team is rallying support.
Remembering his mother Manju Kumari Sinha on her birthday, Nishant stated: "Wherever she may be, she should be content..."
The political landscape in the state is intensifying.
The opposition Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has been vigorously criticizing the Nitish administration, demanding change.
RJD Chief Lalu Prasad has targeted Prime Minister Modi following his visit to Bhagalpur, alleging that the leader "deceives" and "fails to fulfill his commitments".
Lalu faced backlash from Union Ministers and NDA representatives for his comments, who reminded him of the circumstances in Bihar during his administration.
