Authorities reported that the case emerged when a young man filed a complaint on Tuesday, revealing that he had met a woman named Tanu Verma via a dating app. Following their discussions, she invited him to the Supernova Spira building in Sector-94, Noida.
During their encounter, the woman allegedly induced the victim to consume a significant amount of alcohol, rendering him incapacitated. Seizing the opportunity, she fled with his possessions, which included a gold chain, ring, bracelet, and approximately Rs 27,000 in cash.
In response to the complaint, police promptly registered a case and launched an investigation. Utilizing local intelligence and tips from informants, a police team apprehended the suspects near the Sector-94 underpass on Wednesday.
The detained individuals were identified as Sita Chakravarti, also known as Tanu Verma and Maya, along with her accomplice Sagar Chauhan.
