New Delhi, Oct 11 (NationPress) For the first time, the northeast is not merely the periphery but the pulsating heart of India’s growth narrative, stated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday.
The Prime Minister emphasized that from new airports to empowered self-help groups, and from connectivity to creativity, Arunachal Pradesh exemplifies the essence of Viksit Bharat.
PM Modi shared a piece on X, authored by Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, which highlights the transformation and increasing significance of Arunachal Pradesh in the nation’s developmental progress.
“From new airports to empowered SHGs, from connectivity to creativity, Arunachal Pradesh reflects the spirit of Viksit Bharat. A must-read article by Union Minister Scindia,” the Prime Minister remarked on X.
Scindia noted that our ‘Ashtalakshmi’ is no longer a remote frontier but a dynamic center of India’s advancement.
“I share my awe-inspiring visit to Arunachal Pradesh’s Ziro Valley, witnessing its rapid evolution while honoring its timeless cultural heritage, all in line with PM Modi’s visionary concept of a Rising Northeast,” the minister emphasized.
In his article, Scindia mentioned that every time he visits the Northeast, “I feel reenergized and refueled”.
“Many regard it as the periphery of India; however, it is the very heart, pulsating with myriad colors, sounds, and textures. A garland of pearls, interwoven by diverse communities, cultures, and lifestyles, seamlessly blended into the eternal rhythm of nature. It’s no surprise our Prime Minister refers to it as the Ashtalakshmi -- a region abundant in diversity and opportunity,” he observed.
Ziro Valley is renowned for the globally acclaimed Ziro Music Festival, ranked among the world's premier music festivals.
“Local artisans displayed their crafts, and thanks to Digital India and the Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile trinity, cashless transactions were seamless. Each notification of ‘payment complete’ was more than just a transaction; it was the sound of empowerment,” the minister noted.
Throughout villages, Self-Help Groups (SHGs) empowered through the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana and Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana are fostering inclusive livelihoods.
“From weaving textiles dyed in natural hues to fermenting fruits into pickles and wines, to crafting ornaments from bamboo and stone, their enterprises embody culture, dignity, and hope. At the Goodwill Enclosure, I felt honored to meet the 1811 Medium Regiment, the guardians of our nation's valor, before taking a moment to honor our Army martyrs,” Scindia conveyed.
